Why You’re Stuck in Life (Open Your Mind)
There are people unaware of what is possible in their lives.
They are like Non-Playable Characters (or NPCs) in a video game, following a coded and scripted life:
sleep, wake up
work a job you hate
survive until your next paycheck
eat
sleep
repeat
In the end, they live without purpose or meaning because society instructed them to follow a predetermined path.
But more and more people are seeing the cracks in the code—they are realizing that the internet, social media, and technology are the keys to breaking the code they were programmed to follow.
Still, too many people are distracted by money, sex, greed, ego, and status, lured back into an endless loop where the programmers want you stuck in their game.
The only way to wake up, escape the code, and get unstuck in life is first realizing you're in the game.
Are you tired of living the same day over and over—the same routine you’ve followed since your 20s or even now in your 30s?
Maybe you have a decent job, make enough money, and have a good foundation—a place of your own and a supportive family—but personally, you just don’t feel fulfilled.
You are beginning to notice the cracks in the code.
Every day, you wake up, commute to a job you don’t truly love because it pays the bills, and then the same sequence repeats:
work a full eight- or nine-hour day
commute back home
shower
make dinner
sit in front of the tv on your couch
watch tv
go to sleep—and then it all repeats for 10, 15, even 20 years.
Maybe you’ve seen small progress, but deep down, you know there is more to life; you are stuck in an endless loop.
The way you break free from what some call the game, the matrix, or the endless loop is to open your mind.
It may sound easier said than done, but it is simple—if you see it, if you’re awake, you can open your mind. let me break this down.
We've all seen it: In the movie the matrix, Morpheus offers Neo a choice between the red pill and the blue pill.
Morpheus explains that there’s a deeper reality, but Neo must choose to see it by taking the red pill.
Many of us keep taking the blue pill because we prefer the comfort of the mundane life—wake up, go to work, live a predictable life.
But if you choose the red pill—metaphorically speaking—you remove the lens that blocks your vision and start feeding your mind new information.
That could be a book, a course, an audiobook, a podcast, a TedTalk, or even a conversation with a stranger on the bus who shares a powerful idea.
1) Open Your Mind
Most of us live with a narrow vision, like looking down a straw.
You only see a little bit at the end—a small glimpse of light—but not the full picture. That’s why it’s crucial to expand your mind with new information.
I use books as an example because they widen that lens.
Instead of looking through a straw, imagine looking through a wide aperture—you see people walking, cars, birds, trees, more color. that’s what new information does to your mind.
Human eye and camera aperture.
If you’re tired of living the same day over and over—the same routine from your 20s or 30s—and you feel like you can’t break free, this is your wake-up call.
Your current routine might involve waking up, commuting to a job you don’t love just to pay the bills, and then repeating the same actions day after day.
Maybe you’ve made some progress, but deep down, you feel there is more to life, and you’re stuck in an endless loop.
To break free from this coded existence, you must open your mind. Remove that narrow lens and feed your brain new, diverse information. that is how you break the code, how you break the matrix, and get unstuck in life.
I don’t mean to disparage video games— I’m a gamer. I even had a gaming channel on YouTube, though I haven’t uploaded in a couple of years because I’ve been focused on self-development and jiu-jitsu.
I used to spend 10–15 hours a week gaming, but now I’ve allocated that time to training, building my YouTube channel, creating content, reading books, and going to the gym.
When I engage in live rolling with higher belts in jiu-jitsu, I’m challenged both physically and mentally, and that feeds my mind with new perspectives.
I also read books on overcoming mental challenges and understanding human behavior—like the works of Robert Greene—which have taught me to recognize toxic traits and expand my perspective. expanding your mind doesn’t have to be only about books—it can be any new information that stimulates you.
If you’re reading this and wondering how it applies to your life—if you’re tired of waking up, going to a job you don’t love, and repeating the same routine for decades—this is your wake-up call.
2) Breaking the Scripted Life
You have to stop living like an NPC, following a coded, scripted path.
Instead, allocate the time you’re wasting on meaningless distractions and invest it in learning new skills, expanding your perspective, and breaking free from the endless loop.
Whether you’re interested in starting a podcast, interviewing people, or talking about men’s health, psychology, or self-improvement, it all starts with opening your mind.
Use courses from YouTube, LinkedIn Learning, or SkillShare to acquire new skills. But more importantly, apply what you learn.
If you read James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits, don’t just put the book back on the shelf—implement the lessons. Otherwise, you’ll keep looking through that narrow straw, wondering why others are succeeding while you feel stuck.
If you open your mind by feeding it new information—by reading, taking courses, and engaging with diverse perspectives—you’ll suddenly see a wealth of opportunities.
You’ll realize that your current dead-end job or unfulfilling routine isn’t the only path; there is so much more if you’re willing to learn and grow.
This letter is long, and I’ve thrown a lot at you, but the essence is simple: Break free from the code.
3) Don’t Lose Focus
Don’t let the distractions of money, sex, greed, ego, and status lure you back into an endless loop.
Take action to expand your mind, remove that narrow lens, and see the full picture of what life can offer.
Without focus, you can’t open your mind, see what’s possible in your life, or ever make significant progress.
Life is more than a scripted routine. You have the power to rewrite your code.
By opening your mind to new information—by taking courses, reading books, and engaging with diverse perspectives—you can break free from the endless loop.
If you don’t implement these new habits, you’ll continue living like an NPC, following a predetermined path without purpose. So, take action, open your mind, and unlock your potential.
It’s the only way out of the scripted life!
Thank you for reading.
